Itinerary: Lima-Catac-Chavin de Huantar-Lima
One Day: The visit will begin at 7 am, they travel 462 km northeast of Lima (10 hours).Overnight at the hotel "La Casona de Chavin" in the city of Chavin de Huantar.
Second Day: The visit to "Chavin de Huantar" that was declared Cultural World Heritage Site by UNESCO (1985) "Chavin" most important ceremonial center of Andean Civilization. Chavin Culture had a Capital (1000 to 200 BC). "Chavin de Hunatar" was an oracle with 2 churches: Old Temple where the monolithic Lanzon (anthropomorphic God with feline traits, snake and eagle) and New Temple. This oracle priests lived and met the pilgrims. The ceremonies were related to the phases of the sun and moon and the stars movimietos. then visit Chavin National Museum.
Return to Lima.
